Our Church

Cornerstone Baptist Church began in 1994 with a small group of people. At that time it became a mission of Durbin Memorial Baptist Church and affiliated with the Elkhorn Baptist Association, Kentucky Baptist Convention, and the Southern Baptist Convention.

The church called Foy Back as their first pastor in 1995. Under Pastor Back's leadership the church was blessed by much spiritual and numeric growth.

On March 4, 2007, Cornerstone began a new era under the leadership of Pastor Alan Dodson.  The future is bright as the church witnesses growth and a renewed sense of purpose.

Cornerstone Baptist Church is more than just a church; more than just a facility in which to meet and worship.  We are a New Testament Church of the Lord Jesus Christ and a body of baptized believers who are associated by covenant in the faith and fellowship of the gospel, observing the two ordinances of Christ (baptism and communion), committed to His teachings, exercising the gifts, rights and privileges invested in us by His word, and seeking to extend the gospel to the ends of the earth.

We welcome the opportunity to minister to all people in Lexington area.  Our objective is to provide a Christian atmosphere where children, youth, and adults can develop mentally, socially, emotionally, physically, and most of all, spiritually through organized Bible study, preaching and teaching.
